In my small studio, I produce a constantly growing assortment of handcrafted stationery products. The current collection includes photo albums, guestbooks, concertinas/leporelli, journals, address and calendar books, and cards for numerous occasions such as weddings, communions, birthdays and any other special event or simply as a gift to yourself.
All of my paper products are made with the best quality materials from Japan, Germany and Northern Italy and are designed with the greatest care and attention to detail. I use the techniques I learned during my studies of bookbinding, printmaking and photography at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco (USA).
Stylistically, my work is inspired by my Japanese roots. Thus, my designs reflect the tradition of Wabi-Sabi aesthetics, which is characterised by simplicity and naturalness. One can describe Kitaken products as small, unique Japanese products with a European touch.
